Samsung Launches Third Generation LED TVs At CES ( January 08, 2009 )
Samsung Electronics Co Ltd launched its third generation LED TV at the
ongoing Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas. This high-definition TV
line, Luxia, is said to be highly energy efficient as it is equipped to save
40% energy. The ultra slim product, with a thickness of just over one inch,
uses light-emitting-diodes, for its primary light source, instead of the
conventional cold cathode fluorescent lamps. The technology giant looks well
determined to keep the production of LED TVs on the top of its priority
list. Though the company plans to bring this line to the market later this
year, it has refrained to throw a light on its pricing.
